Haw!

The family of late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is up in arms about some of the most recent recipients of a leadership award that was established in her name.

They are interesting choices.

...four recipients of the award initially founded to honor women are men — Elon Musk, media kingpin Rupert Murdoch, actor Sylvester Stallone and Michael Milken, a financier who The New York Times referred to as “the face of corporate greed in the 1980s.” The only woman to be honored is Martha Stewart.

I'm a little disappointed. Well...maybe Richard Petty will win next year.

  1. What!?! No Obama!?! How did Barry get left out.

I'd say that perhaps the men identified as women, but that doesn't seem likely unless the award folks decided for them.

  2. No worries, Kamala Harris will get one soon enough.

  3. It isn't the fact that the four are men that bemuses me, it's the challenge of finding a common thread connecting them all.

  4. RGB gave the first one to Agnes Gunn in 2020
the next one was to Queen Elizabeth II in 21
the third was to Diane Von Furstenberg in 22
the fourth was to Barbara Streisand in 23
this year's woman is Martha Stewart, who is on the selection committee, but RGB had said previously that Stewart should be a recipient; the others, who don't even present as women AR being objected to by RGB's son. Obama doesn't present as a woman, yet, but I am surprised that Admiral Rachel Levine or retired Colonel Jennifer Pritzker haven't been named. well, there's always next year.

  5. Elon and Rupert are probably WTFing as hard as Ruthie's family.
It's like Gavin Newsom sending a birthday card to Ron DeSantis.

  7. they'd been pacing themselves, one woman at a time, missed their chance with Madeline Albright, still time for Hillary and Harris, Christine Lagard, Angela Merkel or Georgia Meloni if they want to go international.
