Joey Chestnut, the reigning champion of Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, has been banned from this year’s July 4 showdown.
The decision, confirmed by Major League Eating (MLE), comes after Chestnut opted to represent a rival hot dog brand that focuses on vegan products.
This is the reason I'm maintaining my amateur status; when it comes to MLE, it's dog eat dog.
What was that guy thinking? Hot dogs are MEAT. Vegetables are for food to eat.

ReplyDeleteIt's unlikely that Chestnut was going to participate due to association with the vegans. Nathan's is probably just going for publicity. Imagine the disappointment of other competitors who were relishing competing against the legendary Joey Chestnut.
