Surrounded by wombats here, but they only come out at night, so don't see them, just their trails, holes and square scats. Neighbour said one walked up our street one night, but I didn't see it.

I know how you feel, R-man. While Gregory's video allows us to watch Hurricane edge out Comet in that wombat steeple chase, it's not the same thing as being there.
