Happy Fourth of July!

Update IV and Bumped

Courtesy of Mick, one of our friends and commenters from down under, here's some appropriate music from John Philip Sousa, which Mick attributes to one of their "little Aussie bands" - although I believe he's pulling our leg a little bit.

Update III and bumped

Wishing you all a great Independence Day! God bless the Republic!

And remember...

  3. Happy Independence Day. The link has some Sousa music to get the party going. It's from one of our little Aussie bands (well almost).

  4. Austrian/Australian near enough.
I should have mentioned that I lifted the link from michaelsmithnews who wished your great nation a happy Independence Day.

  5. I trust all the American readers celebrated vigourously and maybe fired off a rocket or two with a little Joey doll impaled - or otherwise fastened - to the top.

  6. As I celebrated the 248th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, I considered that the real Independence Day occurs at the end of the war. This is not to say that the drafting and signing are any less monumental. However, for the sake of accuracy and honesty, we should celebrate the end on either the day of Cornwallis' surrender at Yorktown, or King George III's accepting the loss of the colonies.
