Worst chemical burns I ever got were from a highly alkaline aluminum cleaner. I was using it outdoors and had eye protection but it wasn't enough. There was enough wind that I got some of the atomized spray on my nose and cheeks but didn't notice. By that evening I has red burns, just like a bad sunburn.
ReplyDeleteFrom then onwards we wore double protection using the stuff, full faceshield over goggles. And we started calling it "Atomic Death Spray."
Why not change product, instead of doubling protection?
DeleteWell, one, this was the stuff we had on hand and since we were in the middle of the ocean there's weren't any alternatives. And two, I doubt anything else worked as well as this did.
