Conversations with Oscar

Hello, we thought it would be informative to get the opinion of our in-house – or, rather, in-yard – environmental expert, Oscar the Oak Tree, on Al Gore’s recent congressional testimony.

Paco: Oscar, thanks for being here today.

Oscar: Paco, I’m here everyday; roots, you know.

Paco: Oh, er, heh, yes, of course. Recently, Oscar,
Al Gore appeared before congress to testify on global warming
, and in response to a grilling from congresswoman Marsha Blackburn on the profits he had made from his environmental investments, Mr. Gore claimed that all of his money went into non-profit organizations. What are your thoughts?

Oscar: In the first place, Al Gore doesn’t “appear” anywhere; he looms like a dirigible. And in the second place, he was lying. Al Gore is the Daddy Whore-Bucks of the global warming industry. Since leaving public office – pardon me, since being unceremoniously booted out of public office – Gore’s net worth has increased something like 15 times; he didn’t raise that kind of dough by standing outside a Metro station with an empty Slurpee cup asking for spare change. Of course he's been putting money into for-profit ventures.

Paco: So, you believe he stands to gain personally through his involvement in promoting the idea of global warming, and a government response to it?

Oscar: He’s going to make an enormous pile from Generation Investment Management, especially since Obama has been fetched by the climate change moonshine – which means lots of subsidies for eco-friendly perpetual motion machines. And if he’s not profiting personally, where’d he get the jack to buy that humongous house boat, the Bio-Solar One (which, from what I hear, is referred to by the jet skiers and bass fisherman on Center Hill Lake as the “B.S. One”)?

Paco: In other words, you think that Al Gore is displaying hypocrisy.

Oscar: He couldn’t be displaying it any more clearly if he walked around wearing a sandwich board with the words “Big Fat Hypocrite” on it, front and back.

Paco: Looks like we’re out of time, Oscar, but as always, we appreciate your insights.

Oscar: No problem. I’m just glad I’m not a taxpayer.

It's very good to see that Oscar isn't a plank in Al Gore's platform.

Lord Monckton was suppose to testify too, but Gore told Waxman that if Monckton showed up he wouldn't. Gore has a yellow streak down his back a mile wide. What a coward.

I had the good fortune to attend a Christopher Monckton presentation Tuesday night. It is easy to see why Al Gore is afraid of him. He (Monckton) is a very honest man on a genuine mission to spread the truth.

He didn't even tell people that he has a DVD for sale on the Science and Public Policy website. He has no connections to big oil or coal. He is obviously isn't doing this for the money. Lord knows that can't be said of Gore who stands to make a billion if cap and trade legislation goes through in the U.S. Monckton said during the presentation that Gore told the committee last Friday that if Monckton showed up, he wouldn't. Gore has been running from Monckton for years. As I said, it's with good reason.

Monckton would tear Gore apart in a one on one debate. Anyone who doubts Monckton's abilities should view Apocalypse? No! which is a tape of a presentation he made at Cambridge.

His presentation Tuesday is still available for free online:

Gore also wouldn't meet with Børn Lomborg a few years ago. Note that Lomborg isn't even a "denier" he just thinks that Kyoto etc. is an enormous waste of money.

If you'll pardon the link whoring, I did a piece on the subject here and here.
