The market for ignoramuses remains strong

Ruby Slippers has a video of Chris Matthews blaming the problems of Greece, Spain and Portugal on "right-wing dictatorships" that have been out of business for more than 30 years.

Chris Matthews makes approximately five million dollars a year. The even more imbecilic Keith Olbermann makes over seven million. Hell, give Joe Biden an MSNBC slot and he'd probably rake in eight figures.

Oh yes, one hears this old whinge from Greeks about the right wing dictator who is all the fault of the USA because the US failed to stop his rise to power, or something. That's why, after decades of such 'blame the US for everything' whinging, it seemed necessary to get rid of Saddam, otherwise what do the whingers want? But no, damned if you do and damned if you don't.

So the Greeks want the Germans to pay for them because Germans have rather a lot of money, yet I seem to recall Germans also had problems with a right wing dictator at some stage, hmmm. It just don't add up.

Hitler was (in many senses) a left-wing dictator, Bruce. And the Greeks feels that the Germans haven't paid them enough for their occupation during WWII. Which the Germans did do, according to the surrender treaties (just not enough for the current generation of Greeks....which sounds oddly familiar).

Otherwise, spot on!
