Welcome to California

Step away from the coffee cup.
A California man is in the midst of a lengthy legal battle following a driving under the influence charge that was issued almost 18 months ago for operating a car while under the influence of caffeine, reports said.

So, Juan Valdez runs a drug cartel. Who knew?

Jeebus. Did they consider that the guy is just a bad driver, and caffeine had nothing to do with it?

Maybe he had a "Vote for Trump" bumper sticker.

I, too, am guilty of operating machinery under the influence of caffeine. Were it not for caffeine's mellowing influence in the morning, I would probably be playing bumper cars with the idiots on the freeway.

Swampie, you live far enough from the freeway, you might not make it there without an 'incident.'

I was told a long time ago that there is no specific thing it is against the law to be under the influence of. The law is broad enough to include anything they think they can get a conviction on. More proof, if needed, that 'safety' is not the purpose of the law - revenue is the purpose.
