When asked about the controversial late term abortion bill presented in Virginia’s House of Delegates this week, Governor Ralph Northam said a fully developed child born in the third trimester would be kept alive, but the physician and mother would get to discuss and decide whether to take its life or not.Fortunately, the bill has been tabled..."for now".
Really, how long before Democrats begin arguing in favor of postpartum "abortions" up to, say, toddler age (they don't call 'em "the terrible twos" for nothing!)
It's what the Dimocrat leftists do. They advance their agenda a little at a time, by making outrageous proposals they know no one will go for, then show how "reasonable" they can be by pulling their position back to "okay, we'll drop the killing of infants after they're born to a more reasonable killing of infants right up until the time they're actually born. See how reasonable we can be." Then, after a period of time, they'll start saying "This isn't working, we need to do more."
ReplyDeleteEventually, they'll get to their dream of killing deplorable conservative's babies because they might grow up to be conservative, too.
The NY bill was outrageous. Cuomo, aptly (in a sick way) made the Freedom Tower look like a giant hypodermic needle and syringe by lighting it to celebrate their new murder bill. Virginia has taken it further. I saw Governor Northam and then Representative Tran. Evil incarnate. The bill is not gone, only put on the back burner. Sick.
ReplyDeleteAmazing how the same people who support this type of legislation are against capital punishment on what they claim are moral grounds. The contradiction is breath taking - it's OK to terminate the most innocent of humans but immoral to terminate the most violent and amoral of humans.
ReplyDeleteMy thought exactly.
DeleteGreat point, Bucky.
ReplyDeleteExpecting consistency of thought in a lefty Dem is an exercise in futility.
ReplyDeleteThis has been brewing for some time. Bioethicists such as Peter Singer have been arguing for at least two decades that there should be a "probation period" after birth during which the mother may decide to terminate the child. I think Singer argues for two years.
ReplyDeleteI am saddened, though not surprised, that it has come to Dems advocating actual post natal abortions.
