Question

Things in New York City are going from bad to worse - the latest outrage was yet another attack on police this week - and I think it's obvious to even the meanest intelligence that Mayor De Blasio is not only a destructive leftist ideologue but an utter incompetent.

So, I get that New Yorkers are hopelessly left-wing. But are we to conclude there isn't any kind of halfway centrist person who has smarter, or, at least, less idiotic notions on how to run a city? Are there any challengers on the horizon who aren't outright socialists and morons?

They learned their lesson from Benito Giuliani.
They've purged all the people who might actually do some good in the city, so it's lefties as far as the eye can see.
The funny part is that NYers brag about cool it would be to have lived there in the 70s and 80s, now they're going to find out it's not so fun when you can't hang out in Central Park and the only safe places are Little Italy and Chinatown, where the mobs make their areas safe for tourists.

I have a question that this crew should be able to answer.

What is the 70s or 80s Brit TV show about bunch of kids living in an apartment somewhere in Britain.
One is a punk, one is a hippy, I can't remember the other 2.
The punk might have been a soccer hooligan too.
They had weird stuff happen all the time, like giant talking cockroaches or aliens or something.
It's driving me crazy.

Man, I have no idea. Surely someone in the Comment Academy must know.

The third was a business/conservative type. I can't remember the fourth even though I can picture the three I mentioned.
It's a darn funny show. The punk was hilarious, the hippy was always sad about something. Especially being punched by the punk.

Got it!
The Young Ones.
I searched for "Brit tv show rommates punk hippy."

Glad you uncovered the title of the series. Looks kind of interesting.

A little late, but I knew that one. The Young Ones is my second favorite British comedy show (after the obvious).

My second favorite too. After Benny Hill.
I was never a big Monty Python Flying Circus fan.
