Here's what a Biden rally looks like

Notice the main features: (1) No more than ten people, and (2) no Joe Biden (that's Jill Biden sitting in for him).

Feel the excitement.

To misquote Harvey Dent: You either die a hero, or live long enough to be used as a prop at a Joe Biden rally.

Joe Biden's lived too long to be used as a prop at a Joe Biden rally.

Not that it matters, but maybe they lied about how they met:

Anyway, I saw a pic of that 'rally' and Jill is wearing a stiff leather skirt and boots, with a tuxedo jacket and striped shirt IIRC. Looks like her main clothes were at the cleaners, but I think she always looks badly dressed. Others have noticed she can't match clothes too. Is that a Dem thing?

And this is a Trump rally.

In their defense, I doubt that there's very many Biden supporters who own a boat, or would know how to have fun with one, if they did.

My Mom, a registered Republican, says she's voting for Biden.
She doesn't like how Trump "spews" in his speeches.
I don't know what to say. She's my Mom.

I have so much envy of you people with your parents and your grandparents showing you the way. I've got parents and sisters asking me why I'm a racist, and worshipping the mask.

Anyway, anybody seen that movie, Appaloosa, 2015, Ed Harris and Viggo Mortenson? Damn good flick.

Jonah: Like they say, you can't pick your relatives.

Appaloosa is a good western, indeed. I highly recommend it, and the series of novels by Robert Parker featuring the characters, Virgil Cole and Everett Hitch.

That face-off in the saloon was outstanding.

I miss Robert Parker. Virgil and Everett are my favorites. It was hard waiting for each one to come put.

Great books. I used to wolf them down like they were food.

Sounds like your sisters got to your parents. This is why critical thinking is such an important skill. What does she mean by "spews"? She obviously doesn't know Biden, the platform, and the Democrat agenda. She also doesn't recognize Trump's presidential achievements, and promises kept.

My sympathies for your holidays.

I also have relatives who are going to vote for Biden. The sister-in-law, who buys into every canard against Trump (he's an awful man, not a gentleman), and the brother-in-law, who's going to vote the way she votes because if it ain't football, he doesn't care. My son, who at the moment, hates all of us for being racist, mean Trump supporters (no idea what he really thinks of Biden, he's never said). And all the surviving in-laws who will vote for Biden because Daddy was a Democrat. It's maddening, but as we are in Florida (and able to eat in restaurants) and they are in Ohio (who can't), I don't have to see any of them often enough to be goaded into attempted chokings.

I am blessed because all of the Paco clan are Republicans, and even voted Republican in the depths of the Great Depression. There was one Democrat in the family - he was my uncle by marriage, I hasten to point out - and everybody else always poked fun at him for his party affiliation, but in a gentle, just-kidding sort of way. Bobby always took the joshing in extremely good spirits. But that was a time when, Republican or Democrat, people still generally loved their country and supported a sane culture.

In fairness, the Biden supporters who own boats couldn't find a lake with a large boat ramp.

rinardman said...

Yeah, most of the Biden supporters who own boats are 'millionaires & billionaires' who own mega-yachts and wouldn't be caught dead with anyone with a 'boat' less than 100 feet long.

Jonah, my elder grandfather was born 1886 and died 1959 (the other one was born 1906, died 1961). His first wife, mother of my dad, died 1929. Their last living child died 5 years ago in her 90s, just after we all got together first time in nearly 50 years.

We've always been loners and I like it that way. I'm closest to my oldest cousin who is such a rabid leftist she went on a 'study tour' to China during Mao's Cultural Revolution. Yet she doesn't care if family are 'racist' or not woke, she's proud of her ancestry and tries to keep us together. I guess my people are outliers.
