Sounds fishy to me

And you want me to believe this, right?

The guy who was supposed to moderate the next debate between Trump and Biden - You remember, don't you? Steve Scully? Rock-solid objective former Biden intern? -  "appears" to have Tweeted out a question to Tony "The Chihuahua" Scaramucci (a fanatical anti-Trumper) about how to respond to Trump's dismissal of a virtual debate. Since this looked kinda non-objective the Tweet was deleted and the message to Scaramucci was described as a "hack" (Scully has now deleted his Twitter account). Ace of Spades has been all over this (see also here). Ace suggests that Super Genius Scully probably intended to send a DM to Tony and did a public Tweet, instead. This is far more plausible than the excuse that has been provided (and, per Ace, an excuse, interestingly, that has been given only by other people, not by Scully).

But let's turn to our local expert again, and get his analysis.

You're s**ttin' me, right? You really don't know that this is a fat, steaming cow pie of mendacity?

  1. Scully is obviously a poor fit to be a neutral debate moderator anyway. We need perhaps one of the Lincoln Project brain trust, or perhaps the Biden Campaign's media coordinator to do the job. Too bad Keith Olbermann went back to work, he'd be a perfect match for the task.
