Alcee Hastings - whose adult life was largely a testament to the fact that corruption is no bar to seeking elective office as a Democrat - has handed in his office key. May angels waft him to his eternal reward - if "waft" is the word I want.

Well, perhaps this will keep him out of public office, since impeachment and removal did not. Good news it, he can still vote Dem.
