I suppose the advent of Netflix and similar services saved millions of other Americans from the fate of Caron McBride.
It's like a meteor fell to earth and sucked all the intelligence out of humanity. I can understand rampant hubris in trying to have your wedding on someone else's property, but that business about the unreturned VHS tape ... in an earlier time, I would have thought the authorities would just scratch their heads, have a laugh, and dismiss the charges against McBride, but this is now. I figure she's going to have to hire a lawyer and pay a huge fine, and hopefully avoid jail.
