Isn't the body usually turned over to the family?

Something seems awfully strange about this business: "New Documents reveal the DC Office of the Chief Medical Examiner Submitted a Request to Cremate Ashli Babbitt Two Days after Gaining Custody of Her Body".

And another Capitol Police officer commits suicide.

Cue the ominous soundtrack music.

    I'm struggling with that same question. Maybe some journalist could ask a couple of relevant questions and straighten that out. Oh, wait.
