Happy for the family who are said to be Lebanese.
ReplyDeleteThere's a subtext. Cops plus army have placed Lebanese parts of Sydney under virtual martial law. They threw everything into finding this family's child as a compensatory PR exercise, 'See? Cops care about you..' Hearts and minds - still stinks too much of a police state.
Meanwhile I'm seeing articulate online voices for freedom here with Middle Eastern names. Some even Muslim perhaps. 20 years ago I thought the cops were on our side, now not so sure. Much prefer if we and the Muslims find common ground against the global techno superstate.
