Update Here's another good roundup on COVID Mania down under from Gregory.

Yep. I'm the guy on the right.
ReplyDeleteRight here, too.
ReplyDeleteThey've cried wolf too many times. If Moronicon is supposed to scare me into rolling up my sleeve it's a fail.
At this point even the most ardent of the vaccinated should be asking questions.
Richard and I are near the front of the bus on the right side. Wouldn't take the jab then, and not in the future, even after my nightmarish tangle with rehab post-COVID. Also, I don't take the flu shot.
ReplyDeleteOutrageous treatment of those sufferinh forced vaccinations. The Aborigines must have become so disconnected from some of their culture that they can't just escape into the bush. Sad. Very sad.
Deborah, those remote aboriginal communities are run by aboriginal women who set the rules, but for many years these women leaders have asked govt and police to help enforce their rules, while their men may come and go, usually to cities, then back to see their families, maybe bringing diseases they've caught.
ReplyDeleteLike in divorce law, with court ordered access. The men used to come back from roaming, get drunk and beat up their wives. So the women banned alcohol from their towns and asked police to make sure their husbands behave, just like court orders for separated white couples but on a bigger scale. They live in extended tribal groups with lots of 'aunties'.
Of course the abusive husbands hate this system. It's probably more complex than that but you get the idea.
I agree this whole vaccine thing has gotten very sinister.
I was vaccinated with Moderna last winter, and didn't experience any symptoms. But I've maintained all along that it should be a matter of individual choice, not some lemming-like mandate. However, I just experienced a bad bout of something, probably not COVID since I didn't lose taste or smell, but whatever it was knocked me on my keester, despite getting the annual flu shot a month ago. If something wants you, it's going to get you.
ReplyDeleteThere's an international conservative media pile-on for 'Free the Aborigines'. But if you trace these stories back, you come to things like one poor aboriginal woman who claims she was forcibly vaccinated by silent men in red suits. Red Suits? Some aborigines have schizophrenia.
ReplyDeleteSome are just repeating 'stories' they heard - like chinese whispers which grow in the telling. Unfortunately even previously reliable writers like Paul Collits are repeating this stuff.
Or others are genuinely concerned about lockdowns they're only now experiencing, and what they say sounds like it's no worse than what the rest of us experienced for 2 years, but being isolated they think it's only them. UK media are now spreading this stuff and the poms are lapping it up - jealous of us colonials.
At first I went along with what 'health authorities' said and planned to get the vax, while my wife was opposed. I waited, and then reports from Israel etc made me think twice. Now I think the whole thing is driven by Big Pharma, and I worry about the impact on younger generations. What to speak of the collapse into tyranny.
Here in the NSW part of Oz, we've been promised full freedom? on Dec 15th, vaxxed or unvaxxed. Unlike south of our border where Dan Andrews just got his tyrant laws passed. NSW is a pretty big state, but I never planned to spend the rest of my life within its borders. Could be worse I guess. No way I'll sign up for endless boosters.
