And now, a word from our sponsor

  1. Can't believe I never had one of these. I had several cap guns, but not a Thunder Burp cap gun. Maybe it was because even at that age I thought "Thunder Burp gun" was a stupid name for a kid's toy gun.

  2. I never heard of it until I saw it mentioned on an interesting History Channel series, The Toys That Made America, which tells the story of the great toy company rivalries (Mattel, Hasbro, Wham-O, etc.).

  3. Did Heckler & Koch steal their design?

  5. Like rinardman, I never heard of that gun (and I had a plethora of boy cousins), but I have a cap gun of my own when I was small. My dad liked guns, and taught us (two girls and a boy) to shoot guns before we were in high school.

Anyway, the Thunderburp Gun looks a lot safer than the nerf guns my great-grandkids got at Christmas. They, and their parents, and their one grandparent spent the day shooting each other and it's a miracle nobody shot his eye out.

  6. I had one of those, once upon a time. Or something seriously similar.

    Such fun, they were!

  7. I had the Mattel Agent 0 M radio rifle and camera pistol. I believe I still have them stowed away in a box somewhere.
