I became aware a long time ago that Tutu was a virulent anti-Semite (and I suspect he was extremely resentful of whites, while keeping that secret because, you know, money and honorifics from whites). So I haven't joined in the hosannahs extolling his existence.
ReplyDeleteIt isn't a question of whether Tutu deserves a statue but where it will go?
ReplyDeleteDeborah, I vote for putting it right next to that statue of Lenin in Oregon. Lenin didn't believe in God, but Tutu supposedly did, so maybe they're talking it over in Hell as we speak.
