Today in the Catholic Church we celebrate the Epiphany, and the revelation to the three wise men that Jesus is the Son of God.
T.S. Eliot wrote a poem called "Journey of the Magi", which has a gritty, realistic feel, focusing on some of the unpleasant aspects of the trek, and suggesting, at the end, that the wise men weren't entirely sure about what they had experienced, but knew for a fact that their world had changed profoundly.
Here is a link to a recording of T.S. Eliot reading the poem.
What a lovely poem, perfectly capturing the doubt that sometimes pricks even the most devout Christian (yes, me, and I wouldn't describe myself as the most devout). I have to believe that doubt and the answering faith in the unseen is what makes Christianity so worth it.
