Glutton for punishment

Fauci was answering questions in the Senate again today, and I believe the strain is beginning to show.

Senator Rand Paul had another enjoyable outing, though.

Still, the knowledge that you'll never be held accountable for your lies, mistakes and incompetence probably goes a long way toward easing the pain.

  1. Yeah, he’ll likely never be held accountable, but Veritas will certainly make the toad squirm a lot more.

  2. I'd like to like Rand Paul, but I can't help but remember Veeshir's Iron Law of Politicians, if you like one you've been successfully conned.

I can't help but think that Rand Paul just throws fish to get us to arf and honk our squeezy bulbs.
There's not a lot he can do by himself amongst the rest of the uniparty iceholes, but I just can't help but think he's just doing a better job than Cruz of successfully conning us.

The reason I say that is that he grilled Obama's nominees, he pounded the table DEMANDING ANSWERS!!!!!!!!, didn't get any answers, and then voted for them.

  3. I wouldn't be so sure that Fauci is inviolate. He is hated enough and he has enough baggage from his long decades in the public eye, that if the Republicans take the House and the Senate, they can make a lot of political hay from going after him. His protectors (both Dem and Repub) can keep him out of prison, but a large swathe of civil suits could bankrupt him, and wouldn't that be sweet.

  4. I think Veeshir's Iron Law of Politicians is even more demonstrable than the Law of Gravity.
