One thing I like about George Jones's gun channel is that he doesn't just review iconic firearms, safe queens and extremely popular guns; he also shows us the clunkers, misfits and junk of the gun world, and the interesting histories behind their creation. Here is one that, to Jones's surprise, actually functions - at least for the duration of time it took to make the video.

ReplyDeleteGood advice. Never buy a Clerke.
Held together with pan head screws and roll pins? Oy.
The history in the video is interesting - Clerke's high-end business went down mid 1970s and this gun was meant to generate mass sales. Baby-boomers slow to take up collecting? Meanwhile I think small-time hoods went from switchblades to cheap guns.
