It would be pretty hilarious if this were to pass, and the seats were filled by President Trump or President DeSantis: "House Democrats introduce bill to add 4 seats to the Supreme Court".
It's not likely that this bill is going anywhere, but they're going to keep trying. That's one of the main differences between Democrats and Republicans. Democrats may be stupid and evil, but they are like a dog with a bone when they really want to accomplish something. Republicans - too many of them, anyway - are mere time servers without any deeply-held opinions at all. They might not be enthusiastically involved in paving the road to serfdom, but they're ambling along that dreary highway, looking for redeemable pop bottles on the shoulder.
And, lest that last sentence be seen as a sweeping statement, I'll admit that, yes, there are some Republicans who are more than happy to spell their Democrat friends behind the controls of the paver.
