I don't know, it's not very eroic to me.
ReplyDeleteThe symphony was considered to be of heroic scale in comparison to other music of the time, and was inspired, to some extent, by Beethoven's early admiration for Napoleon. that admiration fairly quickly turned to ashes, however, when Napoleon crowned himself emperor.
