Resigned from the city council, but as of now is still Uvalde Police Chief. I expect that will change shortly.
Frankly, I'm surprised he's lasted this long. It seemed a sure bet that he'd slink out of town in the middle of the night.Give credit to the people of Uvalde for not reenacting a Aztec ritual.
