As a kid in Australia in the 1950s/60s I used to buy American comics and see all this amazing stuff advertised which we didn't have over here. I think TV shows like Dennis the Menace also had things like this. Oh yes it was the 'Innocents in Space' episode: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0557946/
