Meh. It was starting to warm up anyway.
I guess it's kind of hard to find a good flooring contractor these days (nice recovery, btw).
From Powerline's The Week in Pictures.
"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
I expect that the flooring contractor is wholly and exclusively owned by the Chinese Communist Party.
ReplyDeleteSome years ago, I think around '09, I was aboard a ship transiting the Pacific eastward, en route to Pearl Harbor. We were following the Hawaiian chain, which aside from the major seven islands includes many smaller ones, often uninhabited (many are officially designated wildlife sanctuaries).
ReplyDeleteI spotted a small white structure on one such island and checked the chart. Sure enough, it showed a small abandoned hut there though the island was otherwise uninhabited. I called the Captain and said "I think I found Gilligan and Mary Ann." He couldn't resist coming up to the bridge to check, and was quite enamored of the idea.
Ever since I was a kid I have wondered which island S.S. Minnow could have fetched up on. There are several candidates, though most are significantly larger than the castaways' island seemed to be.
Ok, man, I've got to ask. If you had a very small boat and could only rescue one, which would it be: Ginger or Mary Ann?
ReplyDeleteMary Ann. No room in a small boat for Ginger's wardrobe.
ReplyDeleteAnd anyway, banana cream pies. 'Nough said.
