Unless he's just tossing his hat in the ring in the hope that somebody will toss it back, filled with some of that sweet political donation money....

...I don't see what this RINO clown is up to: "Hutchinson launches GOP 2024 bid, calls on Trump to drop out".

Looks like a vanity project, with some expectation of personal financial gain. He can't be idiotic enough to think he's got a genuine chance to win the GOP nomination - can he? I think this is just another case of a guy filling up his aspirational balloon with ego gas, and I suppose this operation will end like 90% of vanity campaigns do.

Update  Oh, I don't: "You Shouldn’t Take Asa Hutchinson Seriously". And don't miss Hutchinson at his most idiotic.

What America needs is a Republican who's a cross between Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush without the charisma or name recognition.
He's Electable!

Haw!

I don't even see how this dish rag was electable in Arkansas; the Democrat opposition must have been particularly loathsome.

I notice the comments at Breitbart and both few in number and uniformly negative. Not a rock solid guide, to be sure, but I would expect a couple of supporters to speak up (if he has any).

Asa... hmmm... Huthinson... uh, sorry, nope. Not ringing any bells. Is he that guy who does sausage ads? Or maybe pitches cars on late night TV?

Do you mean Drew Hutchinson, pitcher for the Blue Jays?

I liked him in 1999. He and Lindsey Graham both stood out as prosecutors in the Clinton impeachment. I now give Graham credit for being either really good or really bad on most issues, which makes him a perpetual source of frustration. Hutchinson went from being right about Clinton to being half right about most everything, placing him roughly in line with Romney. So I get it when Paco calls him loathsome, if you consider 85% of all politicians loathsome and the other 15% merely despicable.

I can't imagine where he will find a constituency that would get him 1% in the polls, but lightning strikes sometimes (remember Jimmy Carter) and he probably has no other way of keeping his name recognition from falling to zero. He won't be my choice in the primaries, but if he miraculously becomes the nominee, he will look really good compared to Biden or Newsom or any other democrat. And, of course, at that point he will be labeled as literally Hitler.

Now that I've wasted two paragraphs on Hutchinson, I wish I had spent that time commenting on Vivaldi instead.

I had a doubletake there, ArtsandAmmo, when you mentioned Vivaldi. I'd forgotten he was Paco's composer choice today ... ... and I am using the Vivaldi browser.
