Working-with-your-hands Wednesday
Many hands were needed to build this steam locomotive back in 1935.
So much still depended on judgement by eye and experience, as recently as a hundred years ago. Take those foundry workers back a few hundred years and they would have been building cathedrals.
Such skill and commitment. Pretty much extinct these days, save for a handful of craftsmen (and women), replaced by computers.
