  1. How many gallons per mile does it get?

  2. I think that thing would need to have a built-in refinery - or maybe a small nuclear plant.

  3. A nuclear plant would be COOL. I'm thinking a pebble bed reactor.

I expect the wheels are electrically driven, the gear train for a beast that size would put a diesel locomotive to shame.

  4. Probably not a good EV candidate, though, is it?

  5. Or is it? You mention electrically-driven wheels.

  6. It's a prime EV candidate, Paco. Except that the generator would have to be massive. Batteries would not cut it. Diesel is the default choice. Unless you're a greenie, of course.

Which is why the PBR would never be seriously considered. Pity.

  7. This would be great for literally plowing through traffic. Wouldn't even need traffic torpedoes.

  8. Parking wouldn't be a problem unless 'I didn't see him down there' was thrown out in court.
