...but she doesn't seem to be doing the party much good: "‘Vacate’ Her: Republicans Call on Ronna McDaniel to Resign Following Tuesday’s Elections".
I realize there are a number of factors that have led to election losses for Republicans in the last few years- the occasional unimpressive candidate, the backstabbing GOP establishment, Trump Derangement Syndrome, the Democrat/Media axis of disinformation, Democrat cheating, a feckless Republican response to Democrat cheating, etc, etc. - but it's difficult to see where, if at all, she is adding value. And the fact that she is Mitt Romney's niece does not inspire confidence.
Since Ronna McDaniel became the RNC Chair in 2017, the Republican Party has had a net loss of 8 governorships, 3 seats in the Senate, 23 seats in the House, and the presidency.

Well, you'd think it wouldn't be hard to find someone better, but this is the Republican Party we're talking about.

A serious move to replace her was thwarted by Trump's endorsement of her. It's another example, among too many, of Trump selecting or endorsing the wrong people.

ReplyDeleteI imagine being a party chair is like herding cats, but McDaniel has had four chances now. Time to get somebody new if only to see what happens.
