That drawing is also the inspiration for the tsunami icon, not so oddly.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I did not know that the artist created both the wave picture and the "tentacle erotica" picture. Heh! Guy definitely had an imagination.
I used to have a print of Dali's Swans Reflecting Elephants, it was like that.
ReplyDeleteThe more you looked at it the more you saw. I owned it for years and still occasionally found something I'd not noticed before.
I'll have to get that Wave print, just to look at it to see what I can see.

ReplyDeleteI don't know about Japanese art, but I've seen quite a few examples from various periods, and I love the striking colors that characterize the 18th and 19th century woodblock creations.
