There's something going on with the hysteria manifested by Ukraine's supporters among the government and ex-government elite in the West. I don't know what's causing it, but, just to name one group, the RINOs in the U.S. are infested with it. They make no attempt to seriously defend their support of throwing money at a corrupt country that had the misfortune of being invaded by a larger corrupt country, and talk as if they're more than ready to deploy U.S. troops into this meat-grinder. They're hell-bent on defending Ukraine's borders, while doing nothing to defend our own. This is clearly madness; but is there method in it? That's what I'd like to know.

Some say that Trump has driven his opponents insane.
ReplyDeleteMaybe. But I don't think we can lay it all at Trump's feet. He was just the catalyst, and even now he's merely a symbol for their stupidity, hysteria and insanity to coalesce around. The Establishment, left, Deep State, Nomenklatura, whatever you want to call them have abandoned all reason in their frantic need to hold on to power.
I was disturbed to read of our former PM Howard's foreign minister Alex Downer's involvement in the anti-Trump (Russian collusion) scam. (Downer seems like a nice guy, I even wrote to him once, 20 yrs ago).
ReplyDeleteBut his membership in semi-secret London advisory groups explained it. A lot of this seems to revolve around undeserved respect for British secret policies (007!) plus Pentagon money incentives.
The still-secret background to the Covid fiasco figures in this too - Five Eyes, AUKUS, etc. Some 'top secret' memo on that circuit is enough to get all these leaders locking us up and making decisions 'for our own good' which otherwise don't add up.
In short - blame London!

ReplyDeleteThat's an example which stood out to me. dailyskeptic is a good website too.
Boris can dance his angry little boy dance all week, but the story about him putting the kibosh on a peace deal is not new. It was reported at the time and it's been commented upon since.
ReplyDeleteHere's an example from last year.

Kickbacks, pure and simple.
ReplyDeleteWe've sent many $billions plus weapons.
Laundering money in eastern Europe is like drinking wine in Italy.
It's what they do.
Gregory: Wow! What's the opposite of the Nobel Peace Prize?
ReplyDeletePaco,
ReplyDeleteThese days it's called The Nobel Peace Prize.
Haw! That's exactly right!
ReplyDeleteWell played, V!
