Ah, Barney... I stay as far from children's programming as I can because it invariably sets my teeth on edge. All the while I remind myself that it is not targeted at me and therefore I don't have to give a rip, nonetheless, Barney makes me grit my teeth. I find Teletubbies unutterably disgusting, and Dora the Explorer makes me verge on the homicidal.

I suppose as one who watched Captain Kangaroo happily back in the day it may seem odd, yet children's programming today seems to me horribly patronizing and condescending, as though it is secretly mocking the kiddies for believing in a lovable purple dinosaur or a constantly chattering Hispanic girl and her annoying monkey figuring out the secret map clues.

Ad Teletubbies? Obviously aliens secretly programming children to be mindless drones. Or maybe the critics are correct, and it's gay predators targeting the kids. But no, that's silly, right? Why would pedos target children? Makes no sense.

When I was a little kid, I heard it as "This little piggy went to THE market", not "This little piggy went to market". In 1984, when I saw this Larson cartoon, it occurred to me that without the 'the' the meaning was completely different. Especially for the piggy.

Which made the interpretation of Larson's cartoon a lot darker.

And I must say, those shoes fix Biden perfectly. But his make up needs work.

Jeff, you've unearthed a rare one here!

'Dominic is a comedian from London. According to the Times he is “outstanding.” The Telegraph says he’s “excellent.” The Spectator says he is “mercurially witty”. Even the Guardian admits he “can be entertaining...
'He doubles as a financial commentator, having also authored three books, including, in 2014, Bitcoin: the Future of Money?, the first book on bitcoin from a recognised publisher. (“A great account. Read it and glimpse into the future” Sir Richard Branson). An unlikely combination but it works.'
