J.S. Bach's Little Fugue in G Minor - played on recorders.
Bonus! What if Bach had written that tune played in the cantina in the first Star Wars movie? Or Chopin? Or Oscar Peterson?
"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
I enjoy those "What is Bach wrote..." pieces. One CD I've had for years in "What if Mozart wrote 'Born to Be Wild?'" On the one hand it's clever and amusing, on the other hand it shows just how brilliant those old dead German guys were at writing music.
ReplyDeleteAnd that doesn't even cover modern songwriters who incorporate classical themes into their pieces. Such as, for example, everything Eric Carmen ever did. Or John Lennon playing Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata backwards on Because.
I didn't know they even made recorders in those sizes (my kids had plastic recorders in grade school, thank goodness they were small).
