"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
I don't put political signs on my property. For one thing, where I live is rural and on a private road, so what's the point?
ReplyDeleteI also don't put political stickers on my vehicles, but for a different reason. While the area I live is red, it's in a hard blue state and I'd just as soon not have my car keyed or windshield broken by the people of love and tolerance.
This is Trump country around here, but I’ve seen a couple of sad, lonely Harris/Walz signs. No bumper stickers of any kind, unless I drive into the city (college-affiliated types up there), which I don’t anymore.
ReplyDeleteLots of Harris Walz signs in northern Virginia; a few brave people have Trump signs; last election time someone had stolen a Trump sign from someone's yard and threw it in the street; I let it lay, not wanting to be blamed for it; won't put a Trump sticker on the car either, same reason.
