The Academy of Lagado is at it again

"GREENLIT: ‘Sun-Dimming’ Aerosol Injections Into Atmosphere for Climate Change."

“Experiments to dim sunlight to fight global warming will be given the green light by the Government within weeks,” British outlet The Telegraph reports. “Outdoor field trials which could include injecting aerosols into the atmosphere, or brightening clouds to reflect sunshine, are being considered by scientists as a way to prevent runaway climate change.”
Just...no. Hell, no.

"It's quite alright. Soon, we'll be able to extract sunbeams from cucumbers in case we ever need to supplement the artificially-dimmed natural light. Really, it's all very scientific. Trust us."

"No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!"

Oh, sorry, that was completely random. Never mind.

  2. I bet they have a vaccine for the all the side effects from the crud they're going to throw into the atmosphere.

    1. Mick there's a new book coming out in a month called 'Khaki and Green, war games in the Wollemi' about how the area was used to train military. It's only on Facebook now but will be available after 24th May from:
      https://bushexplorers.com.au/index

Other books about Wollemi already there available too. Thought you might be interested.

    2. "From late 1961 to 1965, Wollemi FR formed part of the Colo-Putty training area for the Australian Army,
preparing soldiers for the Vietnam War. Major exercises include Icebreaker (1961), Nutcracker (1962),
Sky High (1963), and Sky High 2 (1965). Thousands of troops were involved in each exercise and often
involved British, Canadian, and American units. Bombing runs were conducted on Mount Kindarun during
      this period."

Hey Bruce I'll keep an eye out for it.
I'll also run it by a mate of mine that may have been involved, but I think the dates don't match. He told me he was involved in massive training exercises in preparation for hitting back at Indonesia for invading East Timor. All in the Wollemi area. The Whitlam government knocked it on the head.

    Indeed it isn't!

  8. Do those idiots think spewing pollutants into the atmosphere to dim the sun is just going to affect the UK alone? I’d think the rest of Europe (and everybody else) would have a few things to say about it.

    1. That's the thing that's bothering me. Where do they get off unilaterally experimenting with the world's atmosphere?
