Maurice Ravel's Alborada del Graciosa.
Bonus! For you French horn fans out there.
"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
I have run across Lord Vinheitero a few times before, but I can't figure out his schtick. Since you have featured him here, maybe you can enlighten me. As a former horn player, I'm glad to see that this horn player appears to be the only sane member of the trio.
ReplyDeleteHis pieces are mostly comical, although he is obviously a genuine musician. He has, for example, done wonders with a rubber chicken. The facial deadpan that he - and in some cases, his accompanists - manifests is also part of his gimmick. Here's some background.
DeleteI still don't get the deadpan. But I recommend this on the opposite end of the spectrum, whatever that spectrum is: https://www.youtube.com/@MelodicaMen
DeleteMaybe he's a student of Virginia O'Brien.
DeleteI like the gangsta triangle player!
