Some brainwashed would-be "hero" - a teacher from California, naturally - tried to shoot up the White House Correspondents' Dinner last night, resulting in the evacuation of President Trump, his family and various administration officials. Our fine betters, as friend and commenter Veeshir calls them, responded with a mixture of disappointment (that the President managed to survive what was most likely another assassination attempt), blame for the president (he has poisoned the well of civilized discourse, don't you know), and speculation that the whole thing was staged: "The Left Were Absolute Psychopaths Following the Attack on the WHCA Dinner".

Cole Allen, the suspect in the shooting outside the White House Correspondents' Dinner, told law enforcement following his arrest that he wanted to shoot Trump administration officials, two sources told CBS News.
The suspect didn't specifically say he was targeting President Trump, just "administration officials," a law enforcement source said.
Show of hands: how many people think the shooter was there mainly to gun down, say, the Secretary of Agriculture?
One has to think that a lot of those cretins were hunched over their computers, watching all of the news, fingers poised on the keyboards, ready to spew their insanity.

ReplyDeletewe just got back from a little garden party, my wife told me 'no politics,' so I kept my mouth shut, but the talk was about last night's kerfuffle and how it was alternately a) another hoax or b) a shame that it wasn't successful; I kept my mouth shut and on the ride home my wife she was 'shocked' by the talk; we had a friend over after the PA attempt and I scolded our guest after a comment that 'it's a shame he missed.
