I have a S&W model 58 that I picked up about a dozen years ago. Chambered in .41 Magnum, it's from the company's "Classics" series (re-released handguns of contemporary manufacture that honor the great guns of the company's past).
This one had a barrel that wasn't clocked right at the factory: it was over-torqued and the front sight didn't properly line up with the rear notch sight; also, the tip of the ejection rod didn't fully seat because the under-barrel lug naturally didn't line up, either. I procrastinated for years about sending it back to be fixed, having read some bad press on the repair times. Recently, though, I found out about a local gunsmith, and he agreed to look at it. Because it was over-torqued, he didn't feel comfortable trying to straighten it out, so he sent it to S&W, and, much to my relief, it came back three weeks later and I picked it up yesterday. The barrel is now as it should be, and the thing shoots really well.
She's a beauty.

Sweet! .41 mag ammo is a bit tedious to find, but it's a good caliber. I had one once (won it in a raffle), but I sold it, my interest in revolvers being very limited.
