Reminds me of a quote from 19th-century stock manipulator Jim Fisk as he and his cronies narrowly escaped the clutches of the law
Honor is so passè. Malum in se, bad cuz it's bad, is no longer bad. Malum prohibitim, bad cuz it's the law, is not even bad if you're caught, so long as you're of the correct class.
This brings back memories of Christopher Skase, 80's entreprenur who managed to escape Australia and lived the high life in Spain. Until he was taken out by cancer. The Karma Bus doesn't always take the straight route.
