Assortment

1) My Detroit Lions set impressive new record.

2) Hamas’ ingenious plan? Goad Israel into attacking and then just sit back until other Arab states come running to the rescue. Slight problem: other Arab states think Hamas brought it on themselves.

3) Jamie Lee Curtis thinks hard times will draw us peons closer together (H/T: Ed Driscoll and Dirty Harry).

4) More good scoop on Che Guevara’s incompetence as a military strategist (H/T: Babalu).

5) Bill Dyer, a/k/a/ Beldar, discusses the inside baseball of Dan Rather’s suit against CBS. It’s one of those situations where you can feel good about cheering against both teams.

Israel needs to pound Hamas into the ground, and end that stupid set up in Gaza. The PA is a separate collection of corrupt terrorist thugs, but they are slightly less crazy.

As for Rather versus CBS --- POPCORN!!! MUST HAVE MORE POPCORN!!!

Jamie Lee Curtis, having spent her life starving to remain bone-thin, has a phobia about fat and thinks life is a movie or a book. She should shut her mouth and leave real life to real people.

I liked the article about Che. It read like a page from The Che Diaries, heh.

Rebecca, I just finished the article about Che & had exactly the same thought about Paco's wonderful diaries!

Also - the Hollyweirds don't give a fig what WE think on any given topic, so WHY do they believe WE give a rat's patootie about their positions on such issues?

Yes, that probably is a hypothetical question...

Hypothetical? Rhetorical? Whatever.

It's tough to eat Red Wing Pork Chops & type at the same time...

BTW, Paco, I just noticed that you said:

"My Detroit Lions set impressive new record."

When did PACO Enterprises buy the Lions? And why haven't we seen some well-intentioned cheating, I mean, er, ah, ummmmm, strategic manuevering? Is the Tardis involved?

Paco said...

Jeff: they're sort of what you might call a tax loss.

Heh. I think Jamie's enthusiasm for multigenerational child rearing probably has to do with not having experienced it.

And having spent considerable time on a rez where the diets primarily consisted of rice, beans, and fry bread, she might want to rethink that "let them eat beans and get skinny" crap.

Interestingly, had the Lions been a better team, say 1-15, then they would be forgotten, even though better than the current losers.

Jamie Lee is suffering from the same idiotic romanticization of poverty that afflicts most Greenies.

You know, if we all became hunter gatherers, we'd find ourselves wonderfully fit and much more spiritual. Plus, we'd have more quality time with the kids.

Steve, I'm not sure Jamie&Friends would go for the hunter/gatherer meme. That hunting thing is so barbaric, donthcaknow?

What a maroon. Spoiled, elite, out of touch maroon.
