My question is, does anybody in North Korea actually own a television set to watch this stuff on?
Very retro-Stalinist. And what’s with the lightning bolts and avalanche? Are we supposed to assume that North Korea, using the latest in Al Gore technology, has developed some kind of secret climate-change death ray?

Those WWII rocket barrages from back of trucks are a perennial favourite aren't they?
ReplyDeleteI thought some of that stuff looked a tad out-of-date.
ReplyDeleteA tad out-of-date. Look at the mike in front of the newscaster. "Good night Chet, good night David."
ReplyDelete....didn't the Russians use the same photos's, same newsreel, same trucks......."
ReplyDeleteIt is Christmas Eve here, so can I please say Merry Christmas to you Paco, your wife and family, and to everyone else who come on here.
Have a good Christmas everyone!
VERY retro -- it looks like it was compiled in a hurry. They probably just spliced a lot of old news reels together, and nipped the soundtrack from some other propaganda film.
ReplyDeleteAnd I imagine that it was produced for the "benefit" of the Nork peasants more than the South Korean capitalistic imperialist pig-dogs.
Merry Christmas, Merilyn, and all the loyal minions of Paco Enterprises!
Talking about Climate Change, I just realized that if we are, as some believe, at the beginning of a 30-year cold spell, then the Norks are really screwed. They can't grow enough food now. What would an average 2 degrees lower do to them?
