RIP, Hermila Garcia

A woman police chief has been murdered in Mexico.
Garcia was one of a small number of women who have assumed law-enforcement leadership roles in a violence-riddled country where men have shied away due to fear.

When they start killing the women, Mexico is done for.

The barbarians won long ago. It is puzzling that Mexico celebrates its' independence. But then this is the country that celebrates Cinco de Mayo (5th of May) that commemorates a minor battle. They fail to recognize that they were defeated roundly in the following battle in Mexico City.

May God honor Hermila. And may He give comfort to her family, friends and community.

This was one very brave woman, think I saw a photo of her about a month ago sitting in the office with the jail cells behind her, and she was very keen to start cleaning up the area.
May she rest in peace.

"Grito de Dolores" on 16 Sep is the Mexican Independence Day.
"Cinco de Mayo" is a celebration for Chicanos and other such non-Mexicans existing outside of the boundaries of Mexico.

Cheers
