The final scene from Duel in the Sun, as star-crossed lovers Jennifer Jones and Gregory Peck meet their tragic destiny.
I watched 'Beat the Devil' (Don't! As Bogart said, 'Only phonies like it') and wondering, 'Who is that amazing woman?' - Jennifer Jones. Same in Duel, the girl whose entry is like bursting into flame, 'Who is that?' She does it to me every time, even I've seen these movies years ago.

ReplyDeleteShe was stunning, no doubt about it. She died several years ago (2009) at age 90.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to remember to watch this next time it's on. I don't know that the younger Gregory Peck was ever in a bad movie.
