At least there's still Australia

The Labor Party looks to be toast on Saturday, and I can imagine no better place to enjoy the fun than Tim Blair's blog. See you there!

Update: The conservatives have won! Congratulations, mates! (And, no, Kevin Rudd cannot settle in the United States).

There's little fun on Tim's blog since he moved to the Telegraph.

Fun thought police block everything.

Watching the early results come in with a good red and some party food. The swing is on! But the real entertainment will be tomorrow when all the Rudd haters in the Labor party who've been biting their tongues in the hope of victory will finally let loose. The House of Reps has 150 seats, Labor will probably get 40-50, down from 72 at the moment. Labor won't see power again federally this decade.

Our new Treasurer is Joe Hockey, who is determined to cut government waste and balance the budget.

Rudd set another own-goal record with his concession speech, during which seventeen children (including a set of twins) were not only conceived but also delivered.

Let Australia's deliverance be a harbinger for things to come here at home.

Wouldn't it be nice if there was room in the world to create a new country, just for all the world's libs/progs, where they could wallow in their own sh!t.

No words of wisdom on the election results from Gillard? She and Rudd did to Labor what I hope Obama and Clinton will do to the Dems.

Anon,

There's little fun on Tim's blog since he moved to the Telegraph.

Waiting 'til tomorrow to see your comment posted kinda spoils the conversation, doesn't it?

And the next day, to see any response to your comment.

I still attend, but rarely comment.

Also, comments are censored now. Even fairly innocuous ones that refer to the sobriety (or lack thereto) of Bob Ellis.

Newspapers have lawyers, Gregory, and they are, by nature, a cowardly bunch.

Tim went from one of the truly classic weblogs, but one he had to pay for, to a cookie-cutter mainstream media blog he's paid to write. I imagine the reader comment threads are things he has absolutely zero control over.

Congratulations, Oz!

Rudd can always settle in a nation more suitable to his nature. China. France. Cuba. Maybe Zimbabwe.

'Newspapers have lawyers'
Quite so, Spiny.
And yet, when does gird one's loins and ventures into Ellis's blog... well, a good hot bath is only the first step towards feeling clean.
