Happy Feet Friday

 From the Metronome All Star Band of 1946, here's “Nat Meets June” (that would be Nat King Cole and June Christy).

There's a lot packed into those 3 minutes, but Hawk is a standout. Also I didn't realise Nat was already singing back then.

Yes, he was doing vocal work from the early 1940s.

He's one of those artists whose voice always causes me to smile in recognition (and admiration).

Oh yes, Nat's voice was popular here too, always on the radio. In the 50s, our barber had a big old radiogram with deep tone particularly suited to Nat's warm voice. Happy memories.
