The Jesuits again

The Jesuit order in the Catholic Church has had a checkered history, generating extremely brave missionaries (and martyrs), such as the ones who went among the Indian tribes in North America in the 17th century, but also a large cabal of quasi or actual Marxists of the sort who have pushed liberation theology in South America and elsewhere for the last 40+ years. Now we learn that George Soros, whose tentacles seem to reach everywhere these days, is contributing money to the Jesuits.

I would suggest to Pope Francis, with all due humility, that if he would like to avoid the stigma of becoming the pope who winds up provoking more apostasy than Martin Luther and Calvin combined, he'd better stop looking on the Catholic Church as a wing of the International Socialist movement, with Jesus serving as a mere Chairman Emeritus, and return to (or, more likely, take up for the first time in his career) a stout defense of the ancient faith.

I am not Catholic, but I have been following news within the Catholic community, through a number of friends who are of that faith.

And I was quite disturbed when I found out he's from Argentia, where socialism rules, and very poorly at that. Since he became the pope, I've noticed the church trending towards political correctness, not unlike some churches that have a decidedly "progressive" bent.

Add in the fact that Pope Francis is a Jesuit himself, and I would not be surprised to learn that he embraces socialism, at least in private.

Even other Catholics don't like the Jesuits. I'm pretty sure they don't much care for Comrade Francis either.
