Updated and bumped  Liz Cheney has been smacked down by Harriet Hageman in Wyoming. The lamestream media is trying to create a boomlet for a "national" role for her. Unless they're talking about peddling reverse mortgages or one of those home warranty products, I can't imagine what kind of national exposure they could be talking about. 

You've got to be kidding: "Dodge Will Stop Building Chargers, Challengers in Favor of Electric Cars". I see these things all over the place; they're one of the hottest items among old retired farts who can now afford the car of their dreams. And Dodge is going to drop - no - assassinate their most popular brand of automobile in order to make EVs?

Dodge has announced a “last call” for its Charger and Challenger models, as the company is “celebrating the end of an era” and switching to electric vehicles — whether their customers want them or not.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I didn't figure Dodge as the capitalist that would sell rope to the Bolsheviks.

When I was a bank examiner, I had a colleague who left to join the IRS as an auditor. He went through all the training, and on his first call to see a taxpayer about an unresolved matter, he got punched squarely in the nose. He was back working as a bank examiner almost before we knew he was gone. Naturally, I'm not encouraging this sort of thing; I merely mention it as a warning to people who are ready to place themselves in service to the state - pushback is a real phenomenon. I have a friend whose wife worked as an auditor and curator for some billionaire (can't remember the robber baron's name). He invested millions in modern art. One item consisted of a stack of beat-up old vacuum cleaners mounted inside of a glass or polyurethane cube. I think it was purchased for half a million dollars. Amazing. I'll have to encourage Mrs. Paco to make some kind of arrangement with her growing collection of Instant Pots (pots, as it were, of money in it, no doubt).
