Yeah, I was wondering about that poll, too

Biden suddenly up by 14 points? Incredible. As in literally not believable because it's garbage.

  1. I've known the polls were garbage back in 1980 when they all had Carter leading up until the last weeks before the election (45% Carter to 39% Reagan for most of October) when, as usual, they correct themselves before they look like utter fools or liars. The last poll average the week before the 1980 election had Reagan up 47% to 44%.

Media-sponsored opinion polls are attempts to create news, rather than report it. It was called "yellow journalism" back when Hearst and Pulitzer were battling it out on the big city streets for sales.

  3. They're trying for a preference cascade.
"Everybody's voting for Biden. Aren't you?"
Well, that and it's like a woobie for fragile lefties. "Don't worry, the badorangeman won't win."

Of course, it could be cover for all the voter fraud and litigation. "The polls said Biden would win. The GOP cheated!"

  4. USA 2016: Hillary to win 92% of the vote.
AUS 2019: Labor to win in a landslide.

    How'd that work out again?
Why does anybody take the polls seriously?

  5. Polls these days are meant to influence, not inform.

  6. They've always meant to influence, r-man. At least they have been my entire lifetime. (JFK was pres.)

  7. I don't know about the polls (I ignore them) or how the rest of the country is doing, but we're back in Ohio now to visit family, and I can tell you I saw tons of Trump/Pence signs all the way from Florida to here, with only a very few Biden/Harris signs. Another signal is that the Trump/Pence signs were in yards, while most of the Biden signs were set up along the highway, most likely by an operative. Warren County, Ohio may not speak for the rest of the country or even the state, but judging from the signs, Trump will win bigly here.

  8. The President will be released from Walter Reed this evening, and the Twitter Mob is losing their collective mind.

Did you know that this will cause "thousands more [to] die"?

Donald Trump will personally infect thousands. From quarantine. In the White House.

As I've been tweeting to those absolute lunatics, including WaPo's "conservative", Jen Rubin: #HeWasSupposedToDie

  9. The local fish wrap is posting stories asserting that Trump is still infectious, and ZOMG!, we’re all gonna die!

    Or words to that effect.

I follow that collective Of clowns on FB, I don’t subscribe anymore. I had fun telling them that.
